About Motor Trade Directory
Motor Trade Directory lists every garage, dealer and specialist in the UK — mapped, rated and verified. It was built for one reason: finding a trustworthy local garage should not depend on luck, a favour, or a forum thread from 2016.
We started with a simple problem. A driver in Leeds and a driver in Plymouth both need the same thing: a garage near them that does the work properly, at a price they can check in advance. Trade professionals need the opposite side of the same coin — a clear view of who is operating in their area, what they charge and what they cover.
What you will find on every listing
- Full postal address and postcode, with a map pin
- Services offered — MOT, servicing, diagnostics, bodywork, tyres, parts
- Price band, so you can compare before you call
- Opening hours, including Saturday and out-of-hours cover where offered
- Ratings from verified customer reviews
Verified versus claimed
This distinction matters, so we label it clearly on every profile.
Verified means we have checked the business against Companies House, the DVSA MOT station register, or a trade body such as the IMI or Trust My Garage. Verified details include trading name, registered address and MOT station status.
Claimed means the business has told us directly — services, prices, opening hours, staff numbers. Useful, but not independently confirmed. If a listing is unclaimed, we say so.
Who uses the directory
Drivers use it to find a garage within a few miles of a postcode and check what a service or MOT is likely to cost. Trade users — independent garages, factors, suppliers and dealers — use it to track competitors, spot gaps in coverage and check market conditions by region.
How to get listed or corrected
If your business is missing, claim your listing and we will verify it. If a detail is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Listings are free; verification is free. We do not sell ranking position.
